The manganese ore reserves in Xiangxi reach 18.16 million tons, ranking third in the province. And its manganese ore in Hunan Province shows great advantages.
The zinc mine has metal reserves of 4.35 million tons, which can be mined for 10 years according to the output of 400,000 tons. The Longshan-Yongshun-Baojing large lead-zinc mine belt has been found, with estimated reserves exceeding 10 million tons. The industrial reserves plus the predicted future reserves amount to more than 13 million tons, which can be exploited for 32 years according to the output of 400,000 tons. As a large deposit, it ranks first in the province and third in the country, with a potential value of over 70 billion yuan.

Vanadium-containing stone coal runs through the vanadium ore belt in the black rock series of Xiangxi. It’s 300 kilometers long from north to south and about 150 kilometers wide from east to west. The vanadium-containing ore horizon is stable, with large deposit scale, high grade and abundant resources.

The divanadium pentoxide reserves found in Xiangxi reach 7 million tons. According to Xiangxi manufacturers’ annual output of 50,000 tons of divanadium pentoxide and the workable grade calculated by 50% of the resource reserves, Xiangxi’s existing vanadium ore reserves can be developed for 70 years.
 
Xiangxi is rich in manganese, zinc, vanadium and other mineral resources. Now, a whole industrial chain of mineral separation, smelting and deep processing has been formed, involving resource recycling, green and safe production, as well as industrial innovation and upgrading. It has created three business cards of resources, green and innovation for the mineral product deep-processing industry in Xiangxi.

A number of mineral product deep-processing enterprises in Xiangxi have reached the domestic leading technical level. Among them, bismuth vanadate produced by Hanrui Company has filled gaps in domestic science and technology, and a lot of product indicators are better than those of BASF, the largest chemical enterprise in the world. The vanadium nitrogen alloy produced by Hunan Zhongxin New Materials is exported to Europe. The products from Xiangxi enjoy a worldwide reputation.
